The former Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Sylvester Mensah, has described the achievements of President John Dramani Mahama as a good dose of medicine for the country.
He said the president has performed so well that he deserves a second term.
Mounting the stage at the final regional rally of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, December 5, Mr Mensah dismissed claims by the opposition that the National health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) is collapsing.
According to him, subscriptions have increased over the past four years under President Mahama.
Comparing the status of the insurance scheme under President Mahama and under the John Agyekum Kufuor-led New Patriotic Party (NPP), the former Greater Accra Minister said the scheme will continue to serve Ghanaians well.
He described President Mahama’s achievements as “Mahama tablet”, which he claims is far better than the “Opana tablet”.
He said the “Mahama tablet” has seen expansion of water services to several communities, construction of hospitals, roads and schools.
“But the Opana tablet has nothing to solve,” he said in Ga.
He asked the people to go out on December 7 and vote massively for the ruling party.
