Ghanaians living abroad have been urged to invest in the country to enhance the country’s economic fortune. Nana Serwaa Bonsu, who is Otumfuo Saamanhene-Nkosuohemaa, said Ghanaians living abroad should be motivated to invest in the country because one day they would come back home to benefit from their fruits.
Speaking to the Daily Graphic in an interview in Kumasi last Monday, Nana Serwaa Bonsu further noted that “we should allow unity to prevail at all times because where there was unity, there was peace.”
According to Nana Bonsu, building a country required a concerted effort saying “It will, therefore, be prudent for each and everyone to play his or her part properly for the best interest of the country’s development.”
Hard work
She noted that it was only through hard work, dedication and sacrifices that any individual could make his or her life better.
Nana Bonsu said she had created job avenues as her contribution to national development by opening three restaurants in Kumasi alone, at Ahodwo Roundabout, Kumasi Sports Stadium and one on the Harper Road, Adum, and that she would soon start another in Accra.
She advised government appointees to hold the positions given them in high esteem and work to justify the confidence Ghanaians had reposed in them.
She stressed that it was also prudent for women to ensure that they developed their God-given potential to enhance their living standards.
