Ghana have been waiting almost 35 years, to add to their four Africa Cup of Nations crowns. For three decades now, the Black Stars who have continuously qualified for the African tournament, has not won the AFCON, but are optimistic they’ll take home the continental trophy this time.
For Uganda, their best finish in the Africa Cup of Nations was when the team came second, in 1978. While the Black Stars have remained regular participants at the tournament, it has taken the Cranes almost four decades to return to the show room.
Though short on star names, the Cranes are hoping to steal all goals at the Ghana vs Uganda clash today. Ghana however, is also planning to do the exact same thing.
