The Ghana Police Service has announced that it is resuming the recruitment of individuals into the service. A statement signed by the Director-General, Public Affairs of the service, DCOP Rev. David N. Ampah-Bennin said preference will be given to “the backlog of candidates standing by from the 2012 recruitment exercise that, it has resumed processing those shortlisted applicants.”
The statement however cautioned the general public to be wary of fraudsters who pose as middle men.
The Ghana Police Service wishes to inform the general public, especially the backlog of candidates standing by from the 2012 recruitment exercise that, it has resumed processing those shortlisted applicants.
The exercise, which includes aptitude test, medical examination and vetting, is on-going, and the last batch are to go through the necessary processes with effect from Friday 8th August, 2014.
The shortlisted applicants have been informed through the established communication channels for such purposes to report for the exercise.
For the purposes of emphasis, the Police Service wishes to indicate that this is not a fresh recruitment, therefore individuals who are not part of the shortlisted candidates should stay away from the exercise.
The public are hereby reminded to be wary of recruitment fraudsters, who would present themselves as middlemen to defraud them, as no agent(s) have been contracted to recruit on its behalf.
We are respectfully urging the public to co-operate with the Police to ensure a successful exercise.
