The former Municipal Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Obuasi Municipal Assembly in the erstwhile Mahama administration Richard Akwasi Boadi Agyeman popularly called ‘Zubah’ has alleged that the country is being led by ‘evil men’ hence the recurring tragedies.
Ghanaians have been witnessing suicides, accidents, burnt markets and the new one being the Kintampo waterfalls disaster where lots of people have died and others receiving treatment at the hospital.
Speaking with Lantam Papanko on Ultimate Breakfast Show, he claimed the country is witnessing unprecedented tragedies because the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is in power.
He failed to mention the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo’s name as the ‘evil man’ but said evil people have been voted in power to subject Ghanaians to tribulations saying righteous man is not in power.
‘As a Christian who practices Christian religion to the core, I would take it from two angles.
I am looking at it from the spiritual realm, If you go into the good books, it states that if an evil man leads a nation, it goes through tribulations. Did I alter the Bible?.
This is something the former moderator of the Presbyterian church Rev. Emmanuel Martey said this during the June 3 disaster at circle, Accra, several men of God have also said this.
Cast your mind back, the number of disasters we have had in the month of birth when we are celebrating 60 years of independence.
We have students going on suicides spree, not less than four lives are lost when an accident occurs, virtually every week in March, people die in mysterious circumstances, in the realm of the spirit, things happen within nature. If people go to church to thank God for things that have happened in the spiritual realm, why can’t we blame evil men who are leading us and are giving us these wahala, evil people are leading us, I believe so,’ he claimed.
Zubah further alleged that some members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) engaged in occultism during the electioneering just to win power by burying lives and goats.
He called for a national prayer for the country prophesising the country will turn bleak if citizens fail to pray.
‘Bare chested NPP executives consulted all manner of spiritual deities in the North, it was all over social media, those deities if they help you, they come for their rewards in many forms. I am having visions, I am seeing dark clouds hovering around our country because of things planted into our soils,’ he alleged.
He expressed condolences to the bereaved families whose relatives died at Kintampo waterfalls after a tree crashed on them on Sunday.
‘On behalf of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti region, we would like to extend our condolences to the bereaved families. Our hearts are with them, we are mourning with them. We are very saddened that this tragedy has befallen them. Whatever that we us a party we can do to support them in terms of prayers for the bereaved families and the associates in this trying moment, we will do,’ he expressed condolences.
