Brigadier-General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah, twice Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces says Ghana over the years has become an “indiscipline” country.
He explained that the youth have become lawless by the help of high ranking people in society.
“For many-many years now we have become indiscipline people. Our children have become unruliness and if we are not careful, our future leaders will rather collapse this country. The elders are not setting good examples for them to follow,” he said.
The former National Security Adviser in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ counseled the youth to desist from sadistic operations on election day if paid-up to do so by politicians.
The retired soldier however called on all security agencies to be “firm” and “deal” with any persons who will decline election proceedings.
“They should deal with both NDC and NPP supporter if they act naughty. That is what will secure the fate of this country. With that, people will be scared to misbehave. But we are living in a country where offenders go scot-free for wrongdoing,” he told host Kwasi Aboagye.
