A teacher with the United Front Party (UFP) Amadu Babia Latifah has accused disqualified presidential nominee of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP)
Dr. Henry Lartey and his executives of forging her signature on his nomination form.
Speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, she dispelled allegations that she appended her signature to Dr. Lartey’s form.
Latifah who signed the forms of the presidential nominee of UFP Dr. Agyenim Boateng popularly known as ‘Gyataba’ in Tumu in the Upper West Region is also accused of signing nomination forms of Dr. Lartey.
According to her, she received a call from an unnamed member of GCPP requesting her to be a member of the party after news broke that she had signed both GCPP and UFP forms.
Latifah stated that she objected to the proposal to be a member of GCPP, fearing that the details of information she may give, would be used against her.
According to her, she was told the one who had her details was dead when she threatened GCPP.
She wondered how the GCPP and its members were able to access her details, adding that she is not a member of the party as speculated by the party.
‘Apart from Nana Agyenim Boateng, I haven’t endorsed any presidential candidate; my husband is the parliamentary candidate of UFP for Tumu that is why I was able to sign for Dr. Boateng. I cannot sign for my husband’s presidential candidate’s form and sign for another, it’s not possible. I never signed the nomination form of Dr. Henry Lartey.
I don’t even know him, I have never seen him before. I never received any document from him. I don’t even know how they got my details. I don’t know where the rumour is coming from.
Teachers’ details were collected by one of the banks for a product, so I suspect the GCPP took my details from that bank (name withheld) and forged my signature, because one of the workers happens to be a GCPP member,’ she claimed.
