President John Dramani Mahama has assured communities troubled with Fulani menace that the problem is going to be fixed permanently .
According to him, 10,000 hectors of land would be acquired to be allocated to the nomadic herdsmen in the country to pasture their cattle adding that the veterinary offices would be deployed to provide veterinary services to the cattle.
The President said this on Tuesday when addressing a mini rally at Simpoa ,a very remote fishing/farming community in the Kwahu East Constituency as he ends his six day tour in the region .
Several lives have been lost while many have suffered injuries with properties destroyed as a result of clashes between Nomads and farmers in Kwahu ,Affram Plains, Asante -Akyem Agogo, Fanteakwa and several other communities across the country.
The menace has become a national security issue due to the crimes associated with activities of the nomads.
President Mahama however assured that, the solution prescribed in the Manifesto of the NDC would remedy the menace permanently .
He further promised to rehabilitate the deplorable roads linking Hweehwee, Khawu -Abene to Simpoa community to stimulate economic activities in the area and help farmers transport their farm produce to market centers.
