Ghana’s national under 17 coach, Frimpong Manso, has declared his intention to coach the Kumasi Asante Kotoko, stating he has the capability to manage the Ghana Premiere League team.
The Porcupine Warriors Sunday evening terminated the appointment of their coach, Zdravko Logarusic.
The decision, which followed calls from the fans of the club, was taken at an emergency management meeting in Kumasi, few hours after the club settled on a goalless draw with Ebusua Dwards on match day 11 of the ongoing Premiere League.
Assistant Coach of the Club, Godwin Ablordey, has been tasked to take charge until a replacement for Logarusic is announced.
Commenting on the developments at the camp of Kotoko on Onua FM Monday, Mr Manso who is currently the coach of Divison One club, Karalla FC and a former player of Kotoko, said: “I have been with the team [Kotoko] for a very long time. I have CAF license A and other credible certificates, I have been at Germany and other countries.
“I can handle Kotoko when given the opportunity and I will welcome it. I have good relationship with the boys,” he stated.
