President of the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs is appealing to President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo to forgive all those who wronged him or made offensive comments against his character in the round up to the general elections.
According to, Nana Pimampim Yaw Kagbrese IV, he should let bygone by bygone for a peaceful mind to accelerate Ghana’s development.
“I observed during the run-up to the elections that many unpleasant comments were made against you, I will urge you to forgive all those who offended you,” the chief who endorsed President Mahama’s second term bid said.
Yaw Kagbrese IV who is also the Omanhene of Yeji, endorsed President Mahama for a second term when he paid a courtesy call on him in October.
Some chiefs like the Sunyani Manhene Nana Bosoma Asor Nkawiri before the election declared their support for President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and even predicted 80 percent win for him.
But after Nana Akufo-Addo won the December 7 general election, he is now begging Nana Addo to be forgiven.
Nana Kagbrese IV is urging Nana Akufo-Addo to be a father of the nation and let go of any comments from groups or individuals that may have hurt his personality.
“There is an adage that encourages parents to forgive their children when they offend them. Don’t take anything to heart,” he said.
