Convention People’s Party (PPP) flagbearer, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet has asked Ghanaians to vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who he said have been lying to them over the years.
Speaking at a mini rally at Twifo-Ati-Mokwaa in the Central Region where he introduced Ebenezer Appiah as the party’s parliamentary candidate for the area, Mr Greenstreet said these parties have for the past 24 years been taking Ghanaians for a ride and failing to fulfill their promises to Ghanaians.
And this, he said, explains the country’s underdevelopment, arguing that the time is right for the electorate to kick them out of power.
“NDC and NPP are one; they are the same, for the past 24 good years we have suffered under their leadership, so they will come and they will come in again and they will tell you lies and give you money, take the money, it’s Ghana’s money…,” he said.
The CPP flagbearer also accused government officials of serving themselves instead of Ghanaians.
He however promised that the CPP has various packages that will benefit the poor and vulnerable in society.
“The reason we are poor is that our leaders have not been serving the people, our leaders have been serving themselves [but] we have a package for persons with disability in terms of education or health, free transportation, 5% of employment whether in public or private sector, so they shouldn’t fear…,” he promised.
