The film industry on Saturday joined the clean-up exercise directed by the Manhyia palace ahead of the Final funeral and burial rites of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II.
The Manhyia palace entreated all citizens to organize themselves to tidy up the Kumasi Metropolis for a clean city as we welcome dignitaries from other countries who will be attending the funeral and burial rites of the Late Asantehemaa.
In solidarity with Asanteman and the Manhyia palace, members of the Film producers Association, Ghana Actors Guild, Directors Guild and thefilm crew converged at the total filling station behind Otec fm to tidy up the street, clear the bushes and clean the drains.
Kwadwo Nkansah Liwin, Mercy Asiedu, Wayoosi, Sly, James Aboagye, Pat Thomas, Eugene Morrat, Daniel Sarfo of (peace and love) among others, all participated in the exercise which is aimed at giving the metropolis a good image as dignitaries troop in for the Asantehemaa’s funeral from Monday.
