Minister of Transport Fifi Kwetey in a recent press conference said the NDC has managed Ghana’s economy better than the NPP.
On debt stocks, he said the NPP from 2001 to 2008 accumulated a total debt of GH¢56.9 billion, taking it from GH¢9.7 billion in 2001.
He said they had access to 4.3 times more loan financing than NDC under Jerry Rawlings and in spite of this, the NDC I overshadows the NPP in virtually all critical development infrastructure.
He also stated the NDC built 3 regional hospitals against zero by the “non-performing” NPP.
According to him, the NDC within that period can also boast of a couple of public universities against zero by the NPP.
Host of 3FM’s Sunrise Winston Amoah and Sedem Ofori fact-checked the Transport Minister’s claims.
