Located at an elevation of 317 meters above sea level with an estimated population of 30,389, the township of Zezera depends on two boreholes for the supply of water.
United Television, visited the town which is located within Brong-Ahafo to find out more about the situation.
In an interview with some residents of the town, it came to fore that their only source of water is used by both humans and farm animals when thirsty. UTV managed to capture ducks floating and drinking from the same water body the entire township depended upon.
The Assembly man for the area, Mr. Asubontin revealed to us that the town used to have seven boreholes which were constructed freely for them by an NGO. But as at now, he claims only two serve their purpose and that has stalled the progress of education in the area.
During the dry season, the situation turns worse claims another resident.
