Movie producer, Socrate Safo, and veteran actor, Bob Smith, aka Diabolo, have debunked rumours that veteran actor- Emmanuel Armah- is dead.
The news, which went viral, revealed that the actor has kicked the bucket.
But Socrate and Smith said it was not true, and that the veteran actor was still alive.
Speaking on Accra-based radio station-Peace FM, Socrate said: “Emmanuel Armah is still alive, and he is at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra and not dead. As being rumoured.”
He added: “I called him [Mr. Armah], before coming here, and he said he was feeling fine… Ghanaians should pray for the actor to be strong.”
Earlier, Bob Smith, a close friend, in an interview with MzGee on Hitz FM dismissed the report, describing it as “false news.”
“People love Emmanuel Armah. And those who love him won’t go around spreading false news, Emmanuel Armah is alive,” he said.
Emmanuel Armah has featured in movies like Every Woman Wants Me, Fresh Trouble, Beyond Love, Things Men Do, Shadows From The Past among others.
