The ceremony to swear in Nana Akufo-Addo as Ghana’s fifth President under the fourth Republic today, [Saturday] January 7, 2017, in Accra, saw New Patriotic Party faithful in their thousands at the Black Star Square.
The inauguration of President Akufo-Addo and his Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, marked the official end to the NPP’s eight years in opposition, and the party’s supporters didn’t miss the opportunity to celebrate with their Flagbearer.
There was a sea of red, white and blue cheering on, as Nana Akufo-Addo and his vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia took the oath of office and allegiance.
Also present was the Kalypo fruit juice which much the like the change mantra, has been an ever-present fixture of the NPP in the last few months.
