The Deputy Minister for Education in charge of Tertiary has advised Ghanaians and the opposition not to reduce the issue of education to cheap politics.
Speaking at the National Democratic Congress’ 2016 campaign launch in Cape Coast in the Central Region, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa mentioned that everything in Ghana has been politicized including education.
He added that the Mahama led administration is making tremendous improvements in the education sector with initiatives such as the distribution of over 60,000 laptops to students across the country.
He noted that the current government’s initiative includes the building of a university at the NPP’S presidential candidates region which is the University for Environment and sustainable development.
According to him, more than 10,300 foreigners from about 60 countries are currently schooling in the various Ghanaian universities in the country which shows how well the country is doing in terms of education.
