The vetting of Regional Ministers-designate nominated by President Akufo-Addo is happening now as Western Regional Minister-designate; Dr. Kwaku Afriyie is currently being grilled by members of the Appointments Committee.
Also to face Parliament’s Appointments Committee today after the vetting of Dr. Kwaku Afriyie is Simon Osei Mensah; Ashanti Regional Minister-designate, Eric Kwakye Darfour; Eastern Regional Minister-designate and Ishmael Ashitey; Greater Accra Regional Minister-designate.
The process begun on Friday, 20th January, 2017 with the vetting of Senior Minister nominee Osafo Maafo.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has announced 36 ministers-designate since he assumed office as President of Ghana on 7th January 2017 and so far a total of 31 of the ministers vetted have been sworn in.
