Dr. Joyce Aryee has called on the youth of the country to be patriotic and put the interest of Ghana first.
Speaking emphatically, she said, if “we want to be patriotic; we need to lose ourselves for the common good.”
She explained that in thinking of “our collective needs as a people our personal needs will be taken care of.”
She admonished that as a people it was important “we consider the interest of others.”
Speaking on Accra-based Eezy FM 107.5’s morning show, The Morning Edition, she said “God in His own wisdom placed us where “we are; He chose you and I to be born in Ghana and He has blessed our nation with great human resource.”
Dr. Aryee, who is the Founder Director, Salt and Light Ministries, said though “we sometimes deride each other; we are still a good bunch of people.”
She went on to cite the relatively peaceful atmosphere that prevailed during the electioneering period last year, saying “we are able to maintain peace in spite of our strong differences.”
The former Chamber of Mines chairperson further explained that the aftermath incidents of the just-ended 2016 elections would have paled in comparison to the untold atrocities that could have befell the nation if “we were not a good bunch of people.”
She quickly emphasised that “we should be the best and not settle for good.”
As part of Eezy FM’s Ghana First Campaign which is due to span the month of March, the news and music station is slated to host veterans in the fields of Business, Sports, Media, Music and Public service.
