Despite the massive developmental projects by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, certain inappropriate decisions the party took led to their defeat in the 2016 elections, Mohammed Aryeetey Okwabi otherwise known as Kpakpakpa has said.
Kpakpakpa mentioned the cancellation of the nurses and teacher trainee allowances as a major factor and failure on the side of the NDC communication team to focus on what was necessary for survival of the citizens.
“The NDC government should have known that whenever you are doing things you need to be focused. Don’t wait until last minute before you start doing the right thing,” he said.
Speaking on the economic hardships which has engulfed the country, Mohammed opined that the incoming Akufo-Addo government should avoid a repeat of mistakes committed by the outgoing NDC government but should tackle issues of inflation and stabilize the economy.
“The NPP government should have in mind that we the populace have to eat. The NDC government abandoned us. Their focus was all about development projects which did not bring money into our pockets and people were hungry here and there,” he advised.
