The Issachar Prophetic and Leadership Institute, (IPLI), is admonishing President elect Nana Akufo Addo and the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to be vigilant and avoid repeating mistakes of the outgoing government.
The Founder of the Institute, Apostle Selassie Addae, fears a repetition of mistakes such as the arrogant posture of the outgoing government appointees and corruption could work against them.
But in an interview with Citi News, Apostle Addae congratulated President Elect Nana Akufo Addo, and called on all Ghanaians to support him to achieve his promises.
“I just want to congratulate the President Elect Nana Akufo Addo and the New Patriotic Party and at the same time all Ghanaians for a peaceful manner in which the election was held and also to admonish the President that Ghanaians are expecting much from him. We wish that he will be a president for all as he has said in his opening remarks. We pray that he will be able to put together a very formidable team, a team that is well experienced that will take the governance of this nation very seriously.”
Apostle Addae noted that, “We think that Ghanaians over the years have lost a bit of confidence in our politicians, and so the overwhelming support given to him in this election proves that Ghanaians have hope in the message that he sent across, so we hope that they will be able to do well, even in the transition team, they should do everything possible that they keep everything moderate and not repeat the mistakes of previous administrations.”
“At the same, the new administration should be able coordinate well with the outgoing government so there will be transparency and there will be accountability so that Ghanaians will not suffer.”
He also urged the incoming President to look beyond the NPP for equally competent Ghanaians go help steer affairs of the country.
“Another important thing is that Nana Addo should not look only within the NPP; there are very brilliant intelligent Ghanaians who can come on board to help him solve the problems of Ghanaians.”
