Donald Trump wins!.. The businessman left mouths agape as he shattered expectations with an election night victory. A man who has no affiliations or involvements in politics, has become the president elect of one of the strongest countries in the world.

Donald Trump who capitalized on voters’ economic anxieties, took advantage of racial tensions and overcame a string of sexual assault allegations, took a massive lead, in one of the most shocking US elections in modern political history.
The Republican stunned his rival Hilary Clinton of the Democrats party, in battleground states including Pensylvannia and Iowa. Mr. Trump needed to win nearly all of the competitive battleground states, and he did just that, claiming Florida, Ohio, North Carolina and others early this morning, as he marched towards the White House. His opponent Clinton, has reportedly called him to congratulate him on his victory.
Trump’s triumph over Hillary Clinton will end eight years of Democratic dominance of the White House and threatens to undo major achievements of President Barack Obama.

Among other things, Trump intends to repeal Obama’s landmark health care law, revoke the nuclear agreement with Iran and rewrite important trade deals with other countries, particularly Mexico and Canada.
The mood at Clinton’s party grew blue as the night wore out, with some supporters leaving, others crying and hugging each other. Top Hilary Clinton campaign aides reportedly stopped returning calls and texts, as the Democrat nominee and her family anxiously watched the returns.
Ghana as at yesterday, topped the list of countries outside the US, searching for the elections in America. This is probably because of the strong ties between the two countries. Aside the country being one of Ghana’s lead international donor, the US is home to so many Ghanaians.
