A well-documented life of veteran broadcaster, Mike Eghan, has been unveiled at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra.
The well-attended event christened, “The Magnificent Emperor” took place on Friday, March 17, 2017.
The documentary was dedicated to the Mrs Eva Lokko who herself was a broadcaster.
In an interview with Entertainment Today, Andrew Gyawu-Mensah who put the documentary together was elated with the turnout.
He recalled , he wanted to be Mr. Eghan when he was young.
“Let’s honour our veterans when they’re alive this is what I did for Mr. Eghan and I’m very happy for him, he said”.
When quizzed if he will continue with this phenomenal.
He thanked Dr. Papa Kwasi Nduom and his wife Yvonne Nduom for their support to make the documentary possible
Actor David Dontoh, was also impressed with the documentary.
“We have our heroes and veterans whom we can do something about them. We must not sit down and allow them to die. We must acknowledge and tap some knowledge from them before they visit their ancestors”, he said.
Mr. Eghan watched his documentary with his family and some managers of Groupe Nduom.
The night also saw some great personalities including Mr. Ladi Nylander, ace broadcaster, Godwin Avenogbo, former Mayor of Accra Metropolitan Assembly (A. M.A) Nat Nunoo Amertefio, Chris Ekow Jones, and the National Chairman of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Nii Allotey Brew- Hammond.
