Aggrieved customers of DKM Diamond Microfinance Limited in the Upper East Region have expressed dissatisfaction over a list of customers for payment by the liquidator.
According to the customers, a total of 998 instead of 6000 names were published as DKM creditors in the Upper East Region.
The customers want to find out the system or formula the liquidator used in coming out with the list of 998.
Addressing the media in Bolgatanga on Wednesday, October 12, the regional chairman of the aggrieved DKM customers, Abagna Richard Anamzime, said they felt cheated, insulted and disrespected by this action and are calling on the government to quickly resolve the issue so that the tension among the customers will calm down.
He said the situation has left a lot of them cash strapped and jobless, thus affecting their livelihoods.
They are also appealing to the Bank of Ghana to publish the true list of affected customers in the Region for payment as soon as possible.
Other customers said if the full list of affected customers is not published for payment, they will not participate in this year’s general elections because they have lost confidence in government and politicians in general.
