Gabby Otchere-Darko has alleged that Chief Dele Momodu may have been paid a hefty amount of money to campaign for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“Nothing was as nauseating as my old pal Dele Momodu of Ovation telling Ghanaians who to vote for … I’m sure he was well paid,” the political analyst said in a tweet.
Outgoing President John Dramani Mahama in October attended the launch of Ovation Magazine’s special “Ghana at Work” edition, which was opened only to a selected few, in Accra.
The NPP die-hard member made this remark following fierce campaign by the Nigerian mogul on myriad platforms ahead of the elections that saw the NPP record a landslide victory in elections held last week.
The many efforts by Dele Momodu to sell Mahama and the NDC to Ghanaians and the world as the capable government to steer the affairs of the nation perhaps informs Gabby’s claims that the Nigerian veteran journalist had received some money from the NDC ahead of the general election.
Nana Akufo-Addo secured 5,716,609 votes, representing 53.84 per cent, to snatch the presidency from the incumbent, President John Dramani Mahama, who secured 4,713,277 votes, representing 44.40 per cent in the general election held last Wednesday.
