The presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo, has hit back at critics of his ‘1-Village-1-Dam’ policy, describing them as not having visionary understanding.
Nana Akufo-Addo has promised to create at least, a dam, in every village in the Northern region, should he emerge President after the December 7, polls but critics say it is not feasible.
“I am not going to tell the Ghanaian people that I am going to do something when I know I cannot do it. I will never, ever lie to the people of Ghana. I will never do that. I have too much respect and love for Ghanaians to do that to them,” he stated.
Akufo-Addo and his running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, were in the Tamale metropolis, as part of their Northern regional campaign tour.
Nana Akufo-Addo is taking his campaign to the Upper West region starting today, Friday, 2 September with the Northern region being the ninth region the NPP flag bearer has visited since he began the first phase of his national tour, ahead of the December elections.
The NPP leader on Thursday wrapped up his campaign of the Northern region where he assured Ghanaians that he will never renege on the promises he has made to the electorate.
According to him, he has the ability to deliver and has been honest to make promises he will be able to fulfill.
