A member of the Delta Force vigilante group whose name was given as Ernest, has in an interview with Kumasi based Silver Fm alleged that, the court process where 13 other members were standing trail for causing disturbances at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council was only a cover up to set them free.
According to him, they were asked to turn themselves in after the attack on George Adjei who was appointed Security Coordinator some few weeks ago. He told the host that, the party assured our members they would be set free because they have arranged everything with court and so we had to storm the court after they were remanded.
After the attack at the Kumasi Coordinating Council, we reported ourselves to the police because of the assurance we were given.’’ Ernest slammed the National Security Minister Kan Dapaah who they accused did not nothing for the party and is now a Minister. ‘’Kan Dapaah did nothing for the party.
We sacrificed and ensured victory for the NPP. But after the victory, they have asked us to bring our certificates before giving us a job.
We could have died in the process of doing the dirty job for the NPP. We resigned from our jobs and laid down our lives for the NPP. Who should sacrifice for the NPP for Kan Dapaah to come and enjoy today.
He told us he has resigned from politics. So why is he now enjoying from our sweat?’’ He warned that, there will do everything possible to make the NPP lose the 2020 elections if the assurance given them is not met by the party.
‘’We know what we did in Kumasi to ensure victory for the NPP. We will do the same thing for the NDC to win the elections in 2020.’’ He added, we felt disappointed after our members were remanded and so we stormed the court so we will also be remanded.’’
The Delta Force group stormed the Kumasi Circuit Court yesterday [Thursday], and freed the members of their group who were facing charges for causing disturbances at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council.
The 13 were detained in connection with the group’s raiding of the Regional Coordinating Council on March 24, where they were alleged to have assaulted the newly appointed Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator, George Adjei.
