Mr. Martin Amidu has been permitted to cross examine Mr. Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
A petition praying the Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood to allow a live broadcast of a scheduled cross-examination of businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome by former Attorney General Martin Amidu has been turned down.
A concerned Ghanaian citizen, Richard Asante Yeboah petitioned the Chief Justice following a Supreme Court’s order granting former Attorney General Martin Amidu the opportunity to cross-examine the man in the center of the controversial GHC51.2m judgement debt saga, Mr. Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
However, the Chief Justice in response to the petition says the court cannot allow a live telecast of the examination because the request was not a “normal practice by the judiciary.”
