The Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has admonished members of his party not to allow the opposition parties use lies and propaganda to overshadow the fortunes and gains government has made in the past 4 years.
He pointed out that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has shifted gear by taken their campaign to the door steps of the people in all spheres, saying “they sit in Accra organising press conferences and insulting people, we are in the villages telling the people what we have done and will do in our next administration.
He noted that considering the crucial nature of the next general elections which takes place in less than 70 days, it’s incumbent on the rank and file of the party to be battle ready, activated, energised and motivated to take the “changing lives, transforming Ghana message to every nook and cranny of the country.
Climaxing his 6 day tour of the Upper West region at the campaign launch of the Nadowli-Kaleo M. P aspirant Alban Sumana Babgin, the Chief of Staff Julius Debrah charged party supporters to go out there and spread the good news about the NDC to the world.
He said the achievements of the NDC government under the able leadership of President Mahama is unparalleled in the history of the country thus the need to spread the message and woo more voters.
The Chief of Staff represented his boss, the President John Dramani Mahama who is out of the country on international engagements.
“The NDC government cares for the people.
The NDC government is responsive to the needs of the people. The NDC government will not compromise the peace and security of the country. The NDC government under President Mahama offers quality leadership which is reflected in the change that had been witnessed in every part and corner of Ghana,” he said.
He indicated that Ghana is safe and sound under the leadership of President Mahama thus each and every member of the party must wake up and be counted before, during and after the December 7 elections.
The Chief of Staff made this known in an interview with Samuel Ablordeppey in Nadowli as he wrapped up his tour of the area.
He empowered the rank and file to be steadfast, resolute and resilient in selling the message of the NDC which is contained in the recently outdoored manifesto.
“It would be politically wrong, if we sit aloof and allow their darkness to crowd our light, never let it happen. We are in it together, let’s sacrifice to realize one touch victory for President Mahama and the NDC to continue with the development agenda.
He noted that the party leadership is united and focused at winning the next elections, so must our base in every ward, branch, base, constituency, region and national.
“With unity of purpose I have no doubt in my mind that President Mahama would win by the projected 57% as well as enjoy majority in Parliament. Yes we can,” Julius Debrah added.
Upon reaching Accra from the Upper West region, Mr Julius Debrah continued to Akatsi in the Volta region for another party activity.
