Chelsea defender and Captain John Terry’s house was burgled while he was away on a skiing trip to the French Alps with family.
After receiving the shocking news, Terry and wife, Toni returned to the home in Surrey to find valuables worth millions of pounds missing!
According to a statement released by Surrey Police, the house is confirmed to have been robbed overnight on 25th/26th February.
This is yet another warning to celebrities who love fronting their houses as well as other valuables on social media. Terry with over 3 million Instagram followers and wife Toni with over 77,000 followers are regular social media posters.
Severally, they have shared photos of themselves in different areas of the £5 million ($6.1 million) house on Instagram.
While on the skiing trip, they took turns to let their followers in on all the fun they were having, only to have it all ruined by the shocking news.

Friends strongly believe that the robbery was inspired by the photos due to its similarities with Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery which took place early this year.
“They love sharing photographs, but they haven’t been very subtle about their home. There have been a number of cases where high-profile people have been targeted because of their Instagram and Twitter pages – and John and Toni are very regular posters online.
“It’s a very real possibility that these burglars have seen some of their posts. It’s like a catalogue for would-be thieves, and even played a part when Kim Kardashian was robbed in Paris.”
He concluded; “It’s a horrifying incident for any family to go through, and John and Toni have been very shaken by this.”
About Kim’s robbery, the KUWTK star posted many photos of her jewellery online only to be robbed at gunpoint at her Paris hotel room. They tied her up and made away with £8.31 million ($10 million) worth of jewellery.
John Terry’s luxury gated property located at Moles Hill, Oxshott sits on a 0.5-acre piece and includes 7 bedrooms. Terry who has an estimated net worth of $50 million and is currently on a weekly salary of £150,000 bought the property in 2014 for exactly £4.35 million. It formerly belonged to golfer Colin Montgomerie.
Following the raid, Terry and his wife have reportedly beefed up security in the mansion, adding an extra security team to the regular ones that patrol the entire estate. Police are also investigating if the couple was particularly targetted.
Terry previously owned an even more opulent house. Located few metres away from his current one, the house includes 9 bedrooms. Per Daily Mail, he sold the mansion for £16 million to General Sultan bin Mohammed al-Naamani, a senior minister for the Arab state, making a whopping profit of £10 million. Now that’s how you flip properties.
