The running mate of the Progressive People Party Brigitte Dzogbenuku has downplayed claims that chairperson of the Electoral Commission Charlotte Osei has a personal problem with her flagbearer Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom.
Speculations have heightened of a possible antagonism towards the business mogul by Mrs Osei following the EC’s disqualification of his candidacy from the December polls over nomination form errors. It followed Nduom’s objection and subsequent court suit to challenge the astronomical hike in filing fees set by the EC.
But speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday, Ms. Dzogbenuku said she knows the commissioner personally, and doubts she harbours personal issues against her boss.
“I know Charlotte personally, we were in university together. I don’t think it’s a personal thing against Nduom. I even heard she has an issue with me because I said something against her; but I know her and I don’t think she has any personal issues with anyone,” she said.
She also rubbished claims she took a whopping sum from Dr. Nduom to partner him in the race to the Flagstaff House.
“I wasn’t given money and I don’t need to be paid for my conviction,” she said.
The former beauty queen was outdoored in August.
