Champions Wa All Stars on Wednesday, March 8 beat debutants Bolgatanga All Stars 3-1 in a Ghana Premier League outstanding game played in Tamale, the adopted home ground of the Upper East Region side.
The match was a Match Day Two fixture and was postponed as a result of the champions’ CAF Champions League campaign, which ended in a 5-1 aggregate loss to Libya’s Al-Ahli Tripoli.
David Abagna scored twice against the debutants with Richard Arthur also finding the back of the net.
Maxwell Frimpong got the consolation for the Bolgatanga side.
The win is Wa All Stars’ second this season and it comes on the heels of last Sunday’s win over Inter Allies.
For Bolga All Stars, the result is their fourth loss and it keeps them 15th on the log, just above bottom-placed Great Olympics.
Wa All Stars’ next game will be against Medeama SC in Tarkwa while Bolga All Stars play Asante Kotoko on Sunday, March 12.
