Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has acknowledged the tough task ahead of Ghana’s Black Stars in the semi-finals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
He, however, believes “the Black Stars will make it”.
Ghana will play Cameroon in the semi-final on Thursday after beating DR Congo 2-1 on Sunday, January 29.
Goals from brothers Jordan and Andre Ayew sealed victory for the Stars.
On his official Twitter page after the quarter-final victory, Dr Bawumia congratulated the Stars.
But he stressed that the next encounter will not be easy.
Next up is Cameroon, which won’t be an easy task. But with the continuous support and prayers of all Ghanaians, the Black Stars will make it
He urged the team to stay focused since in his estimation “you can do it”.

A win for the Stars over Cameroon will edge them closer to ending a 35-year wait for an African title.
