Nana Addo rebukes ministers of the NDC who incite violence during the electioneering period
Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo, has come at President John Mahama, for the recent cases of violence reportedly instigated by some of his ministers. Nana Addo rebukes ministers of the NDC; including Hon. Collins Dauda, MP for the constituency and Minister for Local Government, for inciting violence by employing guns and harmful weapons, all in his bid to win an election.

Addressing a gathering at Hwidiem in the Asutifi South Constituency of the Brong Ahafo Region, Nana Addo condemned Mahama for not calling the minister to order. Nana Addo said that Mahama goes about telling the whole world that Ghana is peaceful, while there are many instigators of violence in his cabinet. He bemoaned the President’s lenient approach to the situation. According to the NPP Flagbearer, Mahama doesn’t have the strength of character, to reprimand them or caution them against such acts. He explained that the President really acts unconcerned on the matter.

Also reacting to the to recent happenings in Odododiodio Constituency involving the Minister of Youth and Sports., Nii Lantey Vaderpuye, Nana Addo stressed that no one should be above the law in the country. He urged the people not to be swayed into indulging in political violence throughout the electioneering period.

He also urged the people not to be complacent, but to make sure their candidate is given the nod come December. He also urged the people to heed the NPP’s message of change and vote for the major opposition party in the coming elections.
