One of the founding members of the UP Tradition, Professor Abrefa Busia of blessed memory would have deserted the NPP if he were alive today – this according to Professor Kwamena Ahwoi is a result of the bad leadership of Nana Akufo Addo which has disintegrated the party leaving most members dissolution and uncertain about their fate in the upcoming general elections.
Professor Kwamena Ahwoi who was addressing a durbar at Subinso in the Wenchi district of the Brong Ahafo region during the NDC campaign tour of the area described Nana Addo’s intolerance and vindictive character as very pathetic especially when previous leaders of the Dombo Danquah Busia tradition appeared different.
‘Nana Addo has sacked Chairman of his party, Paul Afoko, his General Secretary is nowhere to be found and his Vice Chairman is also out of the party. It demonstrates Nana Addo’s incompetence which is a reflection of how bad his leadership will be if he were given the opportunity to govern this country”…he emphasized
Professor Ahwoi who addressed several other mini rallies at Nchiraa, Buoko and Chiraa said President John Mahama has demonstrated his commitment to deliver on his promise and his tolerance nature bonds Ghanaians in spite of our differences.
He assured the people of more development and asked them to retain him in office to guarantee the peace Ghanaians are enjoying.
Chief of Staff Julius Debrah who is leading the campaign in the BRONG AHAFO region said while the NDC is busily explaining its manifesto and working on the ground to win votes, the NPP is sitting in Accra taking selfies with Kalypo.
He mocked the NPP flagbearer by suggesting that the fruit drink the tool was manufactured for toddlers and at his age he ought to manage his sugar intake for his own health.
Mr Debrah asked the people of Brong Ahafo whose traditional leaders have openly acknowledged appreciation of the massive development projects in the region to votes massively for the NDC.
Chief of Buoku, Nana Addae Sekyeredu commended President Mahama for the provision of community day senior high schools, power, water and other projects. He however appealed to government to lease part of a forest reserve in the community for other development projects.
The Wednesday campaign tour ended in the evening with an encounter with professionals.
The programme involved showcasing achievements of the President captured in video documentaries on massive infrastructure projects, briefing on the 2016 manifesto and an open forum.
The discussion was led by Deputy Communications Minister, ATO Sarpong, Mr Totobi Kwakye a founding member of the NDC and former head of National Security, Professor Kwamena Ahwoi, the Regional Minister Eric Opoku and the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah.
