Two bush meat traders from Adukrom in the Eastern region have burnt into ashes in a vehicular fire accident at a town near Juapong in the Asuogyaman district.
According to an eyewitness Godwin Adepa, the KIA Pride which gutted fire had a central lock so the traders could not be rescued from the razing blaze when some residents rushed to the scene of the incident.
The KIA vehicle with registration GE-2781-W he said, was coming from Adukrom with the bush meat traders.
As they got to Nudu’s crossroad near Asuogyaman, the car caught flames on a speed ramp.
The driver and front passengers were rescued by some close-by residents but two women at the back seat were unfortunately trapped by the central lock system and were burnt beyond recognition.
They have been conveyed to the morgue.
