The Brong-Ahafo Regional branch of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) has elected Mr Ferdinand Anane Frimpong as its president for the 2016/2017 service period.
Mr Frimpong who is rendering his national service at the Revenue Office of the Techiman Municipal Assembly obtained 37 votes out of the 118 valid votes cast to beat his other six contenders.
The election, which was conducted and supervised by the Electoral Commission formed part of activities outlined by the association at its annual delegate’s congress in Sunyani.
It was attended by members from 26 districts in the region.
Mr Franklin Alale Asamnbasi, was elected as the vice president, Mr Francis Adu Gamfi, financial secretary, Ms Matha Pomaa, General Secretary, Mr David Takyi, organizer and Ms Gloria Offei, women commissioner.
Mr Frimpong thanked the association for the confidence they had reposed in them and appealed to the members to support the newly elected executives for the growth of the association.
“The NSS allowance increment which we all hopping to see, but has delayed is one of our prioritize areas my administration intends to tackle”, he added.

He warned that recalcitrant personnel would be denied their certificates, and entreated them to avoid absenteeism.
