Award winning female writer, Mercedes Rowe Asamani is set to put on the literary and political landscape on fire with her first published book entitled ‘Journey To the Polls’.
The book, which is a political novel narrates Ghana’s socio-political journey from previous regimes to the present times. It tells the story of significant happenings citizens have witnessed and how they have affected the quality of life.
Warming up to the much anticipated 2016 general elections, the project further walks the reader through key markers for consideration for the average voter.
The book, published by Standout Innovations will officially be launched on November 18, at the SRC Conference Room of the University of Ghana, Legon at 3pm.
The event will host people from all walks of life, including politicians, students, government officials among others to join hands in the glorious outdooring ceremony.
The writer, is a level 300 Bachelor of Education on arts (English and History) student at the University of Cape Coast. She won the “Female Blogger of the Year” and “Woman Activist of the Year” at the 2016 Ghana Tertiary Women’s Awards.
