Bechem United coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese is sure of his side’s progression in the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup despite their slim victory over Algerian side MC Algiers.
Bechem who are making their Confederation Cup debut managed a 2-1 victory over Algiers at the Accra Stadium on Sunday.
Many fear the score line can easily be overturned by the Algerian team in the second leg but Annese remains positive about their chances of making it into the next stage.
“We wanted to score more, in competition like this you have to score more goals, but is a good we won and we will prepare for the second leg,” he told the media.
“I know my team, I know we will go and get a good result there, it won’t beat easy but we are hoping for the best.
“MC Alger is a good Club and they have played in Africa before, this is our first time and most of our players are playing in the competition for the first time.”
