General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia is calling for immediate intercessory prayers for the Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to retrace his roots.
He observes that Dr Bawumia may be a good person but has unfortunately found himself in the wrong party and therefore, urging members of the NDC to intercede on his behalf in order for him to know where he rightly belongs.
“Dr Bawumia may be a good person but he has unfortunately found himself in the wrong party and we should all pray for him to come back to his senses and return to his party. People may not vote for him not because of his personality but the party in which he has found himself”, he observed.
Addressing teeming party supporters at the campaign launch of Roads and Highways Minister Innusah Fusheini, the NDC scribe indicated that Dr Bawumia is being used by his party to perpetrate falsehood to inure to their advantage and the earlier he realizes it and stops the better for him.
According to him, a time will come when NPP members of will see him as someone without credibility because they have themselves pushed him to play to the galleries to endanger his political future.
“The very NPP people he is seeking to win support for will one day turn and tell him that he is not credible and should not be trusted. I will therefore urge and reiterate that we pray for him to come back and join the party in which he was born into”, he concluded.
