Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh says the disqualified flagbearer of the All People’s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga lacks the ‘mental capabilities’ to draft a manifesto for elections.
According to him, he was surprised to hear that the APC leadership was accusig the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of plagiarism.
“Hassan Ayariga who is accusing the NPP of stealing his party manifesto lacks mental capability to write one for elections,” Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh told Afia Pokua, host of Adom FM’s Burning Issues programme on Monday after the launching of the NPP’s manifesto.
“The APC’s leader lacks mental capacity and capacity to write manifesto for a party like NPP with brilliant ideas to plagiarise,” Napo as he is known stressed.
The APC has threatened to sue the NPP for plagiarising its manifesto.
A statement signed by General Secretary of the party, Razak Kojo Opoku said “The All People’s Congress (APC) shall sue the ideologically bankrupt New Patriotic Party (NPP) for clear thievery of our 2016 Manifesto which was launched on Thursday, 6th October 2016.”
According to the APC, the NPP’s 2016 manifesto which was launched on Sunday, October 9, 2016 was full of ideas and policies which had been spelt out by the APC in its manifesto.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh therefore challenged Hassan Ayariga and his entire APC party to produce background documents if they claim the NPP plagiarised their manifesto because he claim Ayariga lack such abilities.
