The formal Ashanti regional minister and currently the national coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Hon. Joseph Yamin has said Awal Mohammed has made a wrong decision to join the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Hon. Yamin was speaking on Angel FM’s morning show ‘Angel in the Morning’ hosted by Yaw Nimarko, Thursday.
Awal Mohammed who was a deputy National Communications Officer for the Zongo Caucus of the NDC and as well a senior member of the NDC Communications Team in the Ashanti Region resigned from the Akatamansonians on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, to join the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
However his decision did not go down well with the NDC as Yamin was heard saying, “he( Awal Mohammed) knows well that NPP can’t win the 2016 elections.
If Awal is taking a decision to join a political party he should join parties that can win elections as was indicated by Formal President Kuffour that it was better to be a messenger in a ruling party than to be an executive in opposition party.”
