The 2017 VGMA’s Artiste of the Year, Joseph Oscar Mettle known simply as Joe Mettle, released a new song titled ‘Yesu Edi Nkunim’ for the first time on 3FM’s mid-morning show, Urban Blend hosted by Miriam Osei-Agyemang.
According to him, although the song seems like a thanksgiving song, it was recorded before his nominations and has nothing to do with emerging as the Artiste of the Year.
To him, the lyrics in the song are purely coincidental.
Joe Mettle went on to say his awards will encourage him to do better than before and he also hopes it will do the same for his fellow gospel musicians.
Joe Mettle made history last Saturday when he became the first individual gospel artiste to win the highest award of the night.
