Black Stars players Christian Atsu and Daniel Amartey have been named as part of the best eleven players at the just-ended Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
The selection was made by the Technical Study Group of the Confederation of African Football (Caf) after the tournament, which was won by Cameroon after beating Egypt 2-1 on Sunday.
While Atsu made a third successive tournament in Gabon, Leicester City midfielder Amartey was making only his second appearance at the tournament.
Atsu was named the Most Valuable Player in the last tournament in Equatorial Guinea but lost that accolade to Cameroon’s Christian Bassogog.
He, however, received the Man of the Match prize in Ghana’s 1-0 win over Uganda.
Despite playing all but one match as a center back, Amartey was named as one of the five midfielders.
DR Congo’s Junior Kabananga with three goals won the Golden Boot.
