Mr. Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, has called of the people of the region to strongly support the government in its effort to improve the quality of the lives of Ghanaians.
He was addressing a regional parade held to commemorate Ghana’s 60 years of political independence at the Jubilee Park in Sunyani.
Selected students from 61 basic and senior high schools, alongside 258 officers from the security agencies, were on hand at the parade, under the command of Captain Kuntu Blankson of the Three Garrison.
Also present to add colour to the event were members of various trade associations.
Mr. Asomah-Cheremeh said all should find space to contribute their quota to the development of the country.
He invited the traditional authorities to back the implementation of government policies and programmes, planned to accelerate the socio-economic progress of the region
Prizes were presented to schools that excelled in the march past competition.
Sunyani SHS and its basic school, placed first in the SHS and basic school categories and received certificates, jerseys and footballs.
