The Chief of Staff, Mrs Frema Opare, has come under a barrage of criticisms from some concerned group in the Ashanti Region following her letter instructing the Inspector General of Police to arrest and prosecute members of the NPP allegedly seizing public properties.
The group contends that it was needless on the part of the Chief of Staff to have issued such statement which they argued was not within her domain.
They have therefore warned her not to step foot in the region should the police carry through her instructions and effect arrest of any supporter of the party.
“Mrs Frema Opare should consider herself out of any government activity in the region should any member of the party be arrested,” they cautioned.
According to the group in a statement issued and signed by its spokesperson, Prince Adjei Mensah, the action of the Chief of Staff does not come as a surprise since her contribution to the NPP’s success is in serious doubt.
“We know Mrs. Frema Opare didn’t take part in any of the campaign activities neither did she contribute to the strenuous efforts made by footsoldiers in ensuring victory for the party,” the group observed.
