Parliament’s Appointments Committee will complete its work on the vetting of the President Akufo-Addo’s substantive ministers today [Thursday, February 16, 2017].
Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh, Salifu Saaed and Kwamena Duncan who are the Minister-nominees for the Brong Ahafo, Northern and Central Regions respectively will appear before the committee today.
The committee would have vetted 46 ministers in all by the end of its work today pending the naming of Deputy Ministers.
The committee last Thursday completed vetting of all the 36 sector ministers named by the President and subsequently submitted its report to Parliament for their approval.
Of all the sector ministers vetted over the past weeks, 31 of them have already been sworn in and have commenced work.
The Appointments Committee will after presenting submitting its report on the regional ministers, sit to vet deputy ministers who will be named later by President Akufo-Addo in consultation with the substantive ministers.
