Reports reaching mynewsgh.com reveal that another Metro Mass Transit (MMT) bus was on Sunday afternoon reduced to ashes after it caught fire midway to the Affram Plains where it was destined.
No one was however injured but eyewitnesses revealed that the incident occurred around Odumasua near Tease.
The bus according to them, was supposed to pick and drop passengers from Donkorkrom and Kwahu all in the Affram Plains North district of the Eastern Region as part of its daily route operations but caught fire and the cause not immediately known.
The latest incident comes less than a week after a similar one occurred at Opeikuma in the Awutu Senya Municipality on the Kasoa-Winneba
About 30 passengers who were on board had to flee for their lives after two of the rear tyres were reported to have ruptured and sparked the fire
According to some eyewitnesses, the vehicle with registration number GR 5182-15 was on its way to cape coast before the incident after some passengers started seeing some fumes from the burning tyres.
Officials of the Ghana National Fire Service were immediately called in to save the situation but they were not spared the anger of residents for failing to respond swiftly as they had anticipated.
