Andy Appiah-Kubi Is An Enemy Within the NPP

Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang is accusing parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party of destroying efforts of the party at winning political power in upcoming December 7 polls.

Baah Agyemang explains, though he is the incumbent NPP Member of Parliament for the area, the parliamentary candidate has decided to sideline him from all party activities in the area.

The beleaguered MP was responding to allegations that he is working hand in hand with the ruling National Democratic Congress to snatch the seat from the NPP.

A group of members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have sent an SOS message to the elephant family, urging the leaders, to critically review the conduct of the MP for Asante Akim North, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, and put him to order.

The group calling itself Concerned Members of NPP, wants such an exercise to be carried out from the day Baah Agyemang lost the mandate of the decision makers of the party to stand on the ticket of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition a second time.

Among the petitioners are Seth Opuni, Francis Omenako, Thompson Gyamerah, Akwasi Peprah, Asare Aaron, Michael Opoku Asamoah, Osei Bonsu, Kwame Owusu and Christiana Omenako.

According to them, ever since Baah Agyemang lost the party’s Parliamentary polls, his conduct in public has always sought to undermine the credibility and image of the candidate-elect, Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi.

But Kwadwo Baah Agyemang tells host of Abusua Nkomo, Kwame Adinkrah the allegations against him cannot be true.

He says, “Kwame can I be working against my own party when am the incumbent Member of Parliament…the candidate and some cabal have decided sideline me from all party activities.”

“I have gone out of my way to buy a Navara truck and branded in NPP colours and campaigning for change. I am seriously working for the NPP to win power at my own cost using party people as my campaign team because the PC has decided not to recognise me,” he added.
