As vetting commences for the ministerial appointees of President Akufo-Addo, the various nominees take turns before the Appointment Committee for questioning regarding their various portfolios.
Interior Minister-designate Ambrose Dery was the second in the last batch that appeared before the committee on Saturday January 21, for his turn of the drill.
Prior to this, members of the team vetted Attorney General nominee, Gloria Akuffo.
Osafo Maafo, Senior Minister nominee was the first to be scrutinized by the committee on the first day, Friday January 20, followed by Albert Kan-Dapaah; National security Minister-designate, Ken Ofori-Atta; Finance Minister-nominee and Dominic Ntiwul; Defence Minister-Designate.
Subsequently, Minister-designate for Local Government and Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama; Minister-designate for Trade and Industry, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen; Minister-designate for Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto and Minister-designate for Energy, Boakye Agyarko will be vetted in Parliament on Monday January, 23.
